About Me

My photo
I just returned back to the States after 11 years in Taiwan with my daughter. Taiwan is an excellent base for us explore Asia, while living in relative (gun free) safety, while benefiting from a cheap and efficient national health care system. The people are amazing too. I have Taiwanese friendships that are 20 years old and I'm always making new ones! My coworker here in CO is from Taiwan.

Glow Blue White Fire (or Space Junk)

Rain falls sealing us inside w/ our week's thoughts of
insatiable dry, sun desires, impossible rainbows
Flooded w/unfulfilled hungers, goals and outcomes
Turn my telescope down the universe of my Vedic throat
Turning inside out in the torrent
You unfleeced me of coat
Disarmed me of all protective clothing
     w/simple courageous words maintain friendship
maintain your power, attachment to another
I felt the double bruise on my cheekbones
     so defenseless
The mortification of the sensual senseless

I'm a child of the clouds
Born in the hazy patches of faraway nebulae
How I cried to my Deity of space and sky
For my one heart's desire
take you to beginnings where stars are born
You and I just bits of cosmic dust
       older stock than most
('tho all immortality is the same eternal)

I'm spinning w/long galactic fingers summon you however temporarily
Spiraling softly gaining speed until spheres of creation form
Twirling faster and two twin stars are formed,
remain the same and there is a sun worshipped by planets
But you stopped the cosmic gale force w/ a single word confession
Lose me in the purple fermentation, a giant vacuum
           where the future might be
The whole galaxy is spinning in a dance inviting us, the gravitational pull
Make twin stars pulling apart into young shiners
Following the ancient constellation stories told in chants and cave paintings
I wait reclining in the arm of a lavender nebula
spinning miasma foul fumes in the murkiness of my rejection
Mothering fragments I blow the ashes and watch them turn into doves
into far flung moons, like jewels
They find their diamond orbit around your brow
Gases of undiscovered precious metals color me blue,  orbit sideways
         unlike anyone you knew
Make your light travel across the vast emptiness to warm my darkness

Rain a massive asteroid on my aquatic, blue methane surface
Invite me back later that night like another asteroid
So small the invitation it disintegrates into nothingness in the atmosphere
not a mark on my lucid surface
You know my thoughts, the tender supplication in my eyes respond to your suggestion
I refrain, my soul is after all noble

I'm a child of the clouds

Born in the hazy patches of faraway nebulae
How I cried to my Deity of space and sky
Stay in my double ring periphery
Glow blue white fire with me
