One day in your company
came a random earthquake
The walls shook like a deer's heartbeat
The ground rumbled under us, the swelling of dragon wings
You became fearless in the danger
The rush of adrenaline, hero force of nature
As Vulcan and Venus play their part
I fell into your arms like gravity
Jump willingly into the fiery abyss
Subdue with a bodily offering into the substratum, surrender to the season
For a human sacrifice beyond reason
Immolate my ego and acquiesce
Lift away and disrobe
all that is fleeting
Underneath we are Godlike
perennial in the quiet places of mutterings, breath like a prayer in that temple we worship together
This is just a space for little things I need to write, like stream of consciousness ramblings that purge myself of silly things that might come up and out during the day (or night).
About Me
- Kathy (杜 言 艷)
- I just returned back to the States after 11 years in Taiwan with my daughter. Taiwan is an excellent base for us explore Asia, while living in relative (gun free) safety, while benefiting from a cheap and efficient national health care system. The people are amazing too. I have Taiwanese friendships that are 20 years old and I'm always making new ones! My coworker here in CO is from Taiwan.
